A vibrant space comes alive in Nina Communal, an exclusive lounge facility and communal space designed for long-stay guests, youth hostel residents, and air crew. Spanning 6,200 sq.ft., this versatile area has been brought to life with the significant investment of HK$19 million and offers a range of zones for cooking, eating, drinking, socialising, co-working, and playing, accommodating up to 200 people.

 

Designed by RRIA Limited and guided by a minimalist approach, Nina Communal features clean lines, simple shapes, and an uncluttered space that fosters a sense of openness and calmness. Warm materials like wood are used throughout, punctuated by textured accents that add visual interest. .

 

Nina Communal is designed in an open setup, where collaboration, interaction, and co-creation among its guests can flourish. Its functional flexibility is ensured through the division into separate zones - The Hub, The Kitchen, The Lounge, The Den, and The Automat - each with its own unique character and functionality, creating a sense of connection and flow.

 

The Hub offers a space to slow down and enjoy good company, where guests can dine in comfort while The Kitchen is stocked up with an array of cooking utensils, appliances, and gadgets, allowing guests to make cooking a breeze.

 

The Den is a private and cosy retreat designed to bring people together. Guests can gather in this enclosed area to engage in a variety of activities, such as friendly competitions on the 85" TV featuring PlayStation games, or relax amidst comfortable surroundings. The Lounge is another excellent multi-purpose space for small gatherings, providing a comfortable and functional area for socialising, creating shared values and experiences.

Central to this enchanting space is a striking lamp from the Leaf Lamp Lighting Series of Green Furniture Concept, crafted from clusters of wool felt.
